What we collect
Account and profile details, verification status, approximate location, preferences and intent, matches, messages, reports, purchases, device and security signals, and the photos or videos you choose to upload. Identity or liveness providers may process ID images or biometric signals under their own notices; FLINQ should retain only the verification result and audit data where practical.
Location and discovery
Exact coordinates are never displayed to another member. FLINQ uses approximate location to place members within a metro area and enforce a hard 100-mile discovery maximum. We may temporarily process more precise location to calculate distance, prevent fraud, or respond to safety incidents.
Public and private media
Public profile media is visible as described in your settings. Private albums require premium membership and a deliberate, revocable grant to an eligible matched member. Private does not mean impossible to copy: recipients may still use screenshots, cameras, or other capture tools.
AI and training choices
FLINQ may use AI to help write profiles, suggest icebreakers, explain matches, and assist human safety review. AI is identified and never impersonates a member. Member content is not used to train FLINQ or third-party models by default. Any future training use requires a separate, specific, revocable opt-in; required account agreements and an “Accept all” button do not include it.
Safety review and disclosure
Automated tools and authorized reviewers may examine content needed to detect suspected minors, exploitation, threats, crimes, scams, extortion, impersonation, or nonconsensual imagery. We may preserve and disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect a person, investigate abuse, or defend legal rights.
Retention, deletion, and contact
We keep information only as long as needed for the service, safety, fraud prevention, legal obligations, and dispute handling. Deletion removes or de-identifies ordinary account data after applicable holds and backup windows. Safety records may be retained longer to prevent repeat abuse. Security and age
FLINQ uses access controls, encryption in transit, restricted private-media storage, short-lived access links, and monitoring. No internet service can promise absolute security. FLINQ is only for adults 18 or older; suspected minors should be reported immediately.
